"Mediation Consult Only service is where the mediator is not retained in any capacity and the mediator's services are limited to the time spent with the parties for the consultation, such as reviewing documents or to answer questions to help point the parties in the right direction. Services are simply paid by the hour." Bryan Ginter, Mediator
Do you have questions regarding what documentation you should prepare, but you want to prepare the documents yourself? Do you have questions about how you should complete certain documents? Do you have a "sticky" issue or two that is preventing a full settlement and you want some help resolving these last issues to avoid litigation? If your answer to any of these questions is "yes," then our Mediation Consult-Only service may be a good option for you. Schedule a family law mediation consultation with attorney mediator Bryan Ginter.
Mediation Consult-Only service allows two people to get help when they need it without any retainer deposit commitments. This is because, in mediation consult-only, Ginter Family Law is not being retained as a mediator. Mediation Consult Only services differ from standard mediation services in a couple of ways:
First, Ginter Family Law is not retained by the parties. The parties continue as "potential clients" and only obtain mediation services when a mediation consultation is schedule. There is no committment beyond a mediation consultation. Therefore, no retainer is desposited to the firm. The parties simply call and schedule a mediation consult-only meeting with the mediator. There is a one-hour minimum payment for each meeting, and any additional time beyond the first hour is prorated.
Second, Ginter Family Law does not prepare, file or serve any legal documentation. Instead, these tasks are done by the parties. However, parties may ask and may be given guidance as to what documents should be prepared and how they should be prepared, filed and served.
